Chances are that you’re exploring natural health so you can live life to the fullest at work and at play. So you can have adventures and pursue your goals, knowing you’ll enjoy the energy and mobility to do so.
We’re guessing that you also want to make a positive difference in the world. In part, by choosing products that are good for people and the planet.
That’s why there’s Bolton’s Naturals. Our magnesium products deliver muscle-relaxing, joint-soothing, and re-energizing magnesium through the skin. It’s the natural, convenient way to recover faster so you can get back out there.
Plus, when you choose Bolton’s Naturals, you can feel good knowing that 100% of profits are donated to end extreme poverty.
Bolton’s Naturals is also a brand devoted to changing the world by giving profits away. It started with two people who wanted more…
Dale and Linda wanted to push the limits of what most people expect out of later life.
But by her early 40s, Linda was experiencing fibromyalgia pain and insomnia. She was losing bone density and worried about what that meant for her future.
So, they started to explore natural health…
Along the way, Linda discovered magnesium. She realized she had a deficiency that magnesium could solve. Magnesium helped Linda to sleep again. It eased her pain. In just a few months, she started to recover her bone density.
This was the early 2000s, and very few people knew about magnesium. Linda saw an opportunity. She found the best oral magnesium supplement available and started to import shipments to sell in Canada.

Once she got started, Linda was unstoppable.
It soon became clear that she was on the brink of building a business with the potential to change their lives.
So, they made an agreement as a couple. It wouldn’t just be any business. It had to be a social enterprise, set up to give profits away to the extreme poor. Linda agreed wholeheartedly.
In their 50s and 60s, Dale and Linda together built an award-winning company from the ground up.
North of the border, Dale and Linda are well known as magnesium educators and the founders of Natural Calm Canada.
In 2012, the couple expanded the business by creating a topical magnesium brand, Bolton’s Naturals.
Linda loved how topical magnesium helped with her muscle pain. And Dale… well, Dale became one of our most creative topical magnesium enthusiasts.

As of 2025, the Boltons have donated over $5 million to Thrive for Good.
The Boltons have been able to stay independent (with no outside investment) and true to their radical commitment to give profits away.
Thrive brings together their passion for natural health and organics with their commitment to helping the world’s poorest.
Dale and Linda are still crazy about each other and having adventures in their late 60s. Their love for life, for people, and the planet is only growing.

Every Bolton’s Naturals Purchase Supports Thrive for Good
How did the Boltons get involved with Thrive for Good? Well, they founded it.
In 2004 Dale and Linda took an economy plane and a very bumpy bus ride to Blantyre, in Malawi. They were going to see an orphanage they’d helped raise funds to build.
It was a life-changing trip. Dale and Linda saw that the children were safe, loved, and learning. But at most meals, all the children had was ugali, the local equivalent of white rice. Fruits and vegetables were just too expensive.
“Why don’t you grow your own food?” Dale asked. But no one at the orphanage knew how.
So, he set out to learn sustainable, organic farming by studying it in Kenya. He wanted to prove to himself that he could grow an abundance of nutritious food almost anywhere, with little water, no chemicals, and at a very low cost.
Once Dale was trained, he set about creating a training center in Kitale, Kenya, where community leaders could come to learn what Dale had learned. In a few months, they have the skills to grow sustainable, nutritious food with almost no money at all. Those leaders then go out to towns, churches, schools, and prisons to teach others.
That’s the foundation of Thrive for Good. It’s a sustainable model that’s helping to end extreme poverty by growing “Life Gardens.”
